New Year Goals Check!

What’s up guys!

This year has been CRAZY, since COVID-19 started we all have modified our lifestyles dramatically.

I’m pretty sure you have been affected by this crisis in any way, as I have been affected! YET, checking the goals and milestones established early on the year might be of help to fix this wreck!

Remember that we used the “SMART” approach when establishing your goals:

  • Specific (simple, sensible, significant)
  • Measurable (meaningful, motivating).
  • Achievable (agreed, attainable).
  • Relevant (reasonable, realistic and resourced, results-based).
  • Time bound (time-based, time limited, time/cost limited, timely, time-sensitive).

Let’s see how it goes!

Create more Courses!

  • So… The goal goes as follows:

My promise – at least 6 Courses of the following topics:

So far I have only created two courses:

I will be creating at least 2 more courses… To be honest to myself, creating a total of 6 courses in this year will not be feasible 🙁

Achieve these milestones

The STATS:

  • 50K YouTube Subscribers – Started the year with 35K subs now I have 43K, an approx. growth of 1K/month. Therefore, I will not make the 50K mark this year UNLESS I create more content! Let’s see how it goes!
  • 5K Newsletter Subscribers – Interestingly, I still have 3K subs, as I have been “cleaning” my list. So far I have deleted approx. 1200 contacts, so 5K in total could be achiavable!
  • 3x Website Traffic – Status quo of my website WAS approx 3K visitors per month. I will then need to achieve 10K per month! Currently I am at 5K… so, not doing good, maybe I will achieve 2x growth which is stil great! TIP –> Maybe once the podcast is out, I will reach more audience and get more traffic!

Post more on my Blog

Promise:

That makes 52 posts per year!

Not really going to make it! So far I have posted about 2-3 posts per month, a total of 20 posts in the year, so most likely I will end up with 30-40 posts.

Although this might change as I will be adding blog post of the podcast episodes!

Write Two E-Books

The promise – 2 e-Books:

  • Surviving Engineering – The Complete Guide
    • Free E-book on tips and guidelines to survive studying engineering: school, hobbies, projects, networking,  internships, resources, etc… Get on the waiting list here!
  • Learning Process Simulation – A Comprehensive Method
    • An E-book showing some of my video-courses. Meant for those who hate video lectures. Get on the waiting list here.

I will need to work hard to at least pubish one! So 1 out of 2 not bad! Let’s see how it goes!

More Instagram!

I will also try to increase my Instagram activity. Specially Instagram Stories + Posts. Let it be: 52 posts + 12 stories!

UPDATE: I’ve been updating some content but I think I gotta be much more active, make it my OWN socialmedia! Right now it is just my “business profile” I gotta make it my own! Let’s see how it goes!

Increase Membership in Groups

As you may know, I have created several groups in order to create communities related to chemical engineering. These are:

Feel free to join!

UPDATE: The groups are growing great!

Currently, The FB Group has 6.6K members, I’m sure we can make it 8K by the end of the year!

For the LinkedIn group, we are now currently in 391 members… Will be hard to get the 1K but let’s see how it goes!

Start a Patreon!

The Patreon Idea still is pending! But now with the New Podcast coming soon, I will be adding some special content on Patreon as well! So, thumbs up, idea is still active!

NEW Podcast coming soon!

YES! A new podcast is coming soon! If you missed the post on the podcast, check it out

I have been interviewing several Chemical Engineers for the show which is great! By now I just gotta select a few episodes for the Launching and keep interviewing more guests in ordet o have a solid show by end of year!

Make no worries, the podcast will be launching by this month! Subscribe if you want to get news!

That’s how we are going! I know this year has been hard for many of us, but we can still survive 2020!

I will be uploading a final blog post by end of the year to see which goals were achieved and which were not!

For now, let’s work harder to wrap up the year
